When done correctly, handstands strengthen every single muscle in your body.
In a safe and structured class, you will be taught progressive moves that eventually lead to a full unsupported handstand.
Absolutely anyone can do a handstand. The strength and balance achieved also transfer to other physical activities or sport you may do and increases power, posture and core stability.
Shoulders and arms will become much stronger (great for eliminating bingo wings!) and let's face it, being able to pop into a handstand wherever you are is vey cool!
