TESSA YUNG - HONG KONG

Tessa comes form an athletic background having participated in various sports throughout her life. Her first encounter with aerial dance came in November of 2007. After suffering a series of sports injuries, she was looking for a workout that would improve her strength and flexibility - with a little fun. What she found was a love for this unique and challenging sport. After her first class, she was hooked.

Tessa has always been involved in a range of sports. Her early years in North America were spent dedicated to gymnastics but after her move to Hong Kong at age 10 she became committed to field hockey. This passion for her sport eventually led to her being named Captain of the Hong Kong Women’s National Squad. So although no stranger to sport, pole dance became a new and demanding experience.

With no formal dance training, pole dance was a challenge that offered a unique and individual reward. Not only did it increase her strength, but it also provided a newfound confidence both on the stage and off. Tessa found it empowering to combine both strength and sensuality. With her fearless character and never say never attitude she continues to pursue her passion for pole and increase her demanding repertoire of advanced moves.

After seeing the fun and benefits pole dancing could bring, she decided to integrate all aerial sports into her regular training regiment. She has become a regularly requested performer across Hong Kong. Her teaching looks to improve strength and stability, all in six-inch heels!
